“Evolution not
Revolution”
Bold live
PA’s from the countries leading artists of dance music. Huge arenas
filled to the brim with dancing legions of fans. An atmosphere not re-created
at any other venue other then We Love…Homelands.

The Matterley Bowl
near Winchester, Hampshire was once again set upon on May 24th 2003.
35,000 people bought together for one purpose…Have It.!!
From Groove Armada
to De La Soul to the Streets and back with Audio Bullies. The live element
of We Love…Homelands was awesome.! Pinging around the arenas with
our play lists in hand, we caught each and everyone of these acts during
our day at the Festival. We were not disappointed. Varying in styles
but all giving it their full and finest performances.

Billed as the event of the year Homelands has certainly set the precedent
for the other festivals as they kick off over the coming months. We
hope to be at these too and bring the final verdict later in the summer
as which night actually claims top show.!
For 18
beat drenched hours (the rain kept at bay this year.!) the
masses who make the Homelands vibe the unique vibe it is, kept up the
pace the superstar DJ’s and live acts belted out to them. For
me it was the live acts that really stole the show overall. From De
La Soul making the whole Live Arena turn around during the stage show.!
Literally thousands of people all turning around at the command of the
MC’s.
Groove
Armada smashing out their hits, saving 'Superstylin’ for an almighty
finish that had the whole arena jumping manically through out the rendition!

Groove Armada
Audio Bullies
pulled off a DJ set on the Radio 1 outdoor stage, thoroughly pleasing
for the outdoor party fans. Simon (MC) and Tom on decks,
playing a cheeky brand of house with plenty of old skool bass flavour.
Speaking of which Grand Master Flash.!!! Oh my god, old skool to the
max, hip hop of the purest kind and scratching ability…well he
is the Grand Master.!
Homelands is just
such a huge phenomenon, it really is impossible to catch everyone and
everything that goes on. If you have not checked out the long standing
and ever evolving festival yet, pity you.! Not to sound pompous, but
it is just such a wicked day out. The range of music on offer can’t
be beaten for a one day sited festival.

De La Soul
This year
has again left more fantastic memories ingrained on the brain. Another
year to wait until we unleash ourselves for a full on mash up that will
be Homelands. Already thinking how the previous year can be beaten for
value for money.? Just you wait, it will be….
